January 2009 Minutes

Introductions were made.

The meeting was called to order by Jim-KL0LN at 7:10 PM on the 15th. There 
was not a quorum present so no business was conducted but we proceeded in 
regular order.

The minutes for October, November and December were read.

The Treasurer's report was read.

PRESIDENT'S REPORT:
Jim gave an update on D-STAR and EMA.

VICE PRESIDENT'S REPORT:
Carl-KC4FLT had nothing to report.

EC REPORT:
Jim reported about the SET conducted by ARRL of a simulated Earthquake along
the New Madrid fault.

PIO REPORT:
Kerry-WA2QCJ had nothing to report.

OLD BUSINESS:
Tom-WA4YQT reported on the Christmas Dinner.

DISCUSSIONS:
Jerry-N4RYC said that the Chamber of Commerce was looking for nominations 
for Man or Woman of the Year.

Jim-KL0LN updated about hospitals getting HF and D-STAR equipment.  No one
knows why.

Todd-KI4DFC will restart the ARES training net on the repeater on Tuesdays 
at 8 PM.
