October 2006 Minutes

The meeting was called to order by Buck-K4HKR at 7 PM.

Introductions were made.

The minutes of the September meeting and approved.

The Treasurer's report was read and approved.

PRESIDENT'S REPORT:

The president was absent.

VICE PRESIDENT'S REPORT:

Buck-K4HKR welcomed all present.

PIO REPORT:

The PIO position is currently vacant.

EC REPORT:

Jim-KL0LN gave a report on the status of Rick's gear.  He further informed 
all of the requirement of two courses to operate in the EMA.

REPEATER COMMITTEE REPORT:

Jerry-N4RYC reported that all repeater equipment is working properly.

OLD BUSINESS:

James-AC0CW reported that the post restrictions about cel phones does not 
apply Ham operations.

NEW BUSINESS:

The slate of officers was voted in with the exception of PIO as the current 
has withdrawn.

We are awaiting a volunteer.

The membership application of Bob Gulledge-K1CKS was accepted.

This years Christmas dinner will be at Po Folks on 16 December and furthe 
information will be presented at the November meeting.
