September 2005 Minutes ====================== The meeting was called to order at 1900 by KL0LN. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted. The Treasurer reported a balance of $955.82. PRESIDENT'S REPORT: Jim gave a report on the assistance being provided to the Hurricane effort in AL, LA and MS. VICE-PRESIDENT'S REPORT: Buck had nothing to report. REPEATER COMMITTEE: The voice repeater and all APRS machines seem to be doing well. There is nothing new to report on the UHF repeater. Stabilizer has been added to the gas in the generator and gas can at the repeater shack. PIO: Nothing to report. OLD BUSINESS: Regarding the ARES/Red Cross operation; Todd, Jerry, Duane and Tom have put up an antenna at Kinston. There is a new antenna at the Enterprise Civic Center. There will soon be a new antenna and coax at the Elba High School. NEW BUSINESS: We have received from LBW College, a list of people that are willing to speak at our club meetings. Gary has decided to resign as the Editor of the newsletter. There was some discussion however unless something is done at the October meeting, the October issue will be the last. Everyone thanked Gary for the outstanding job he's done over the last few years. We've received a schedule from the Coffee County Arts Alliance. Nomination of officer's for the next term is as follows: President, Todd - KI4DFC V-Pres, Buck - K4HKR Sec/Treas, Jerry - N4RYC PIO, Glenn - KD4FNI The Boy Scouts Jamboree On The Air is 14-15 October.
