K4EXT (Gary Beam) I was first licensed as WN9WZV in 1968 at the age of 16, and soon thereafter became WA9WZV. From 1968 thru 1990 I operated 100% CW, much of which was QRP (reduced power) with rigs that included the Heathkit HW-8, the Kenwood TS-530V, and a bunch of homebrew stuff. Achievements include WAS-CW (Indiana QTH), WAS-CW (Florida QTH), and the ARRL 25-WPM CW Code Proficiency (CP) Certificate. Currently I just hang around the EARS repeater as K4EXT and harass local hams as best I can!
