No Recount Needed!

Congratulations to Buck/K4HKR on his unanimous election to the EARS Vice-Presidency per special election held at the April club meeting.

EOCC = ESJC

The recent name change from Enterprise State Junior College to Enterprise-Ozark Community College means that the acronym EOCC will now be used in the EARS newsletter to refer to our monthly meeting location.

Same campus ... same room ... same time ... just EOCC in lieu of ESJC for the name of the place.

Field Day Cometh!

Be sure to attend the May and June EARS meetings as plans for Field Day 2003 are firmed up. Field Day is always the fourth full weekend of June (this year being June 28/29) with contesting from 1800 UTC Saturday to 2100 UTC Sunday (1:00pm Saturday to 4:00pm Sunday local time).

Details on setup, food, rigs, food, antennas, food, personnel, food, operations, food, and of course food will be finalized at the next two EARS meetings.

And a hot rumor is that Darlene, wife of our club president Glenn/KD4FNI and thus our official EARS First Lady, will be contributing dozens and dozens of her world-famous home-made (mostly chocolate-chip I'm sure) cookies on Field Day ... so, don't miss out!
