Each Wednesday at 11:00am: Lunch at the Deli in Daleville
Each Saturday at 7:00am: Breakfast at the Enterprise Restaurant on North
Main Street
Each Saturday at 8:00am: Breakfast at Ann's just off Hwy 231 in Ozark
Amateur Exams are given after each monthly EARS meeting. Note that you must
contact Tom/WA4YQT at 763-0532 at least 24 hours in advance to schedule an
exam.

The EARS Christmas Dinner will be held at Po Folks on the Boll Weevil
Circle in Enterprise on Saturday, December 14th. Arrival will be
6:30 PM with dinner at 7:00 PM.
Jerry/N4RYC reports that the Christmas Dinner cost will be approximately $12.00 per person. Note that this is not just for EARS members, but for all local area Hams. So, feel free to spread the word! Please RSVP to Rick/N4JAG no later than December 7th. |

We have the UHF repeater operating. All we need to do now is install
it out at the repeater site, install the hardline, antenna, etc.
We will also need to purchase a controller for it so it can operate
without always being connected to the 2-meter repeater.
More on this subject will be discussed at the November 21st EARS meeting.
Please note that the following member's annual dues of $20 ($5 Associate)
are due:
If you can't attend a meeting, please mail your check, payable to EARS,
to the club address shown on page 1 of this newsletter.

Justin, KG4VBK, has been hot on the awards trail since first becoming
licensed on September 13th.
Armed with his new general class ticket (at age 15), he's already
achieved Worked-All-States in his first 2 months as a ham
... all CW on the HF bands.
Now he's shooting for Worked-All-States on both PSK31 digital mode as
well as Single-Side-Band voice mode.
Gary, formerly KG4VBL, has successfully retrieved his original call sign when first licensed in 1968 and is now officially known as WA9WZV (amongst other things).
The Boll Weevil Net meets every Tuesday evening at 8:00pm on the 147.24+ repeater frequency. Recent activity has been as follows:
