If you want to nominate someone, or if you want to serve as a real live officer for the coming year, please let Rick/N4JAG know ASAP. Please note that Gary/K4EXT, not exactly known as the sharpest knife in the drawer, has foolishly agreed to continue as EARS newsletter editor (which is not an elected officer position). Also note that Justin/KG4VBK, apparently too young to know any better, has agreed to continue as official EARS webmaster (which also is not an elected officer position). |

Bob/WA4GIU is having trouble getting folks at Advanced Communication Systems (the company that inherited Kendecom's repeater business) to respond to technical queries on parts. Their support for old Mark-4 products is pretty much nil (although Bob tends to use much more colorful words when referring to ACS).

The 5th Annual Ten-Tec Hamfest is September 24-25 at the Ten-Tec facility in Sevierville, Tennessee.
The Montgomery Amateur Radio Club Annual Hamfest is November 13th in Montgomery, Alabama.
