Jerry N4RYC --------------------------- --------------------------- Electronic Edition (from N4JAG) As you may have noticed by the lack and/or changes of e-mail addresses in the heading of this newsletter, AWANET (Valuegate) has shut down. The scare of last week proved to be true, but for a different reason. As a result, the EARS BBS/Gateway is also shut down. We are now trying to locate another site for it, and will notify all by e-mail as soon as we have one. Those EARS members that had an e-mail address at awanet.com will be changing. Many have already moved to snowhill, some to entercomp. As soon as I know all of the correct addresses, I will send them in an e-mail. (The addresses in the TO: block of this e-mail are correct as of this date.) The EARS Home Page has also changed. It will now be: http://www.snowhill.com/~rickpal/ears.htm It should be up and running by the time you read this. Please check it out and let me know what you think. I have added a few things, including the home pages of EARS members. If you have a home page and wish to be added to the EARS links, drop me a note and let me know. Sorry this edition is a bit later than usual. It was due to awanet closing, me having to change ISP's, e-mail address being screwed up, etc., plus I went to the Huntsville Hamfest. BTW, the cookout in Ozark on 19 September will be at the QTH of KD4FNI, just off Highway 231. Details available on request. We'll be discussing it this Thursday at the meeting. See you there.
