There will be no meeting in December due to our
annual Christmas Dinner.


DUES REMINDER 

The following members annual dues of $20
($5 Associate) are due:

Please remember that after you are three months overdue, 
you will be dropped from the club roster. If you can't attend a
meeting, please mail your check, payable to EARS, to the club
address. Thank you for your support.


ROSTER UPDATE

Please change the address for Kristen and Aaron Shirah
(KF4BHP/KF4CHK) to 1754 Goose Hollow Road in Geneva 
as a result of the E911 changes taking place everywhere. 
You might also want to add Ryan Lee Shirah, born 
1 December, except he doesn't have a callsign yet.

at 7 AM and at Ann's in Ozark at 8 AM.

Wednesday lunches at the Deli in Daleville around 11:00.

Amateur Exams following EARS meetings. Contact 
Tom, WA4YQT, at 464-0532 at least 24 hours in advance 
to schedule a test.

REPEATER NEWS

Our VHF repeater is back in service following repairs and
tune-up by the manufacturer. They replaced a four capacitors,
two MOVs, two PC402s (whatever they are!) a power indicator, a
transmitter jumper cable and realigned the repeater. Cost was
$249, not counting the shipping to them I don't know yet if the
insurance will pay for it or not, so donations will be gladly
accepted. 

The new UHF repeater is also still being worked on. No
estimated date on getting it in service. The PA board can not
be properly aligned down to our frequency, so we are trying to
come up with either another board or enough money to buy another
one. It also depends on when we get the coax, an antenna, tower
climber, etc. (Hear that Jerald?) I'll keep you posted.

CHRISTMAS DINNER

The deadline for the Christmas dinner reservations is Sunday,
12 December 1999.

The Menu:

Turkey, Ham, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Green Beans, Cranberries,
Dressing, Cake, Ice Tea and Coffee. $15.00

We will have wine available, but bring your own if you like.

BREAKFAST

Don't know what to do on Saturday morning? Come by Dottie's
Country Kitchen on North Main Street in Enterprise around 7AM.
We generally have a group of local HAMS that meet there for
breakfast. We have a good time and food. Come join in on a
friendly hour or so. Or you can go to Ann's in Ozark at 8AM or

Just a reminder about the Christmas Dinner. If you have not
yet told us you're going to be there, you still have until Sunday
night to do so. Call me on the phone or send me an e-mail
soon. Sunday night (12 Dec) is the latest we can accept
reservations. We must notify the restaurant on Monday
morning.

If I don't see you at the dinner, or talk to you before the
holidays - - Have a very Merry Christmas and a great
New Year.
