REPEATER NEWS Our VHF repeater is back in service following repairs and tune-up by the manufacturer. They replaced a four capacitors, two MOVs, two PC402s (whatever they are!) a power indicator, a transmitter jumper cable and realigned the repeater. Cost was $249, not counting the shipping to them I don't know yet if the insurance will pay for it or not, so donations will be gladly accepted. The new UHF repeater is also still being worked on. No estimated date on getting it in service. The PA board can not be properly aligned down to our frequency, so we are trying to come up with either another board or enough money to buy another one. It also depends on when we get the coax, an antenna, tower climber, etc. (Hear that Jerald?) I'll keep you posted. de N4JAG CHRISTMAS DINNER The deadline for the Christmas dinner reservations is Sunday, 12 December 1999. The Menu: Turkey, Ham, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Green Beans, Cranberries, Dressing, Cake, Ice Tea and Coffee. $15.00 We will have wine available, but bring your own if you like.
