We also need to get the tower installed at ESJC so we can get back on the air with the BBS. Due to a lightning strike at the EMA in Ozark, we no longer have K4OZK as our RF link. Due to the same lightning strike, the Ozark repeaters, both VHF and UHF are both down. Everyone should feel free to use the Enterprise repeater as often as they'd like, and hopefully Jim and Bob can get the Ozark machines back on the air soon. We'll probably have more info on all these topics at the July meeting. de N4JAG PS: Bob, WA4GIU, now has the 147.21+ repeater up and running at his home QTH. It should provide excellent coverage in our area. FIELD DAY Field Day 2001 is over and was a success for EARS. We set up at Johnny Henderson Family Park in Enterprise as planned and the weather cooperated. Rick will have the report at the meeting and we will see how we did later in QST. However, our equipment worked well, we had many participants and lots of good food. Many thanks to all who participated in any way. Jerry N4RYC ------------------------------------------------- Electronic Edition: As a footnote to the Field Day report, I'd like to extend special thanks to Jim Harrelson of Enterprise Texaco for loaning us a back-up generator and donating all the gas; to Mark Dollar of the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Luverne for donating all the soft drinks, and to Dr. Wallace Miller of WKMX for loaning us the remote vehicle, another generator and tower in case we needed it. Naturally, thanks go out to all those that helped us by being there, working, loaning us equipment, preparing food, and all the other assistance we received. Whether we win anything or not, it was fun. That makes it a success. Nothing else to report right now; but, I'm sure I'll think of something else by meeting night. C U there.
