We decided at the May meeting that we will operate one HF station for the full period on emergency power. That means that we will need operators, especially during the early morning hours. We have secured the area in the vicinity of the comfort station in the Johnny Henderson Family Park on 167 North in Enterprise. The entrance is North of the National Guard Armory next to the Helicopter. Setup will begin about 9 AM.. The Mayors of Elba and Enterprise, and EMA officials from Dale and Coffee County have been invited to see our capabilities to support them. We need to do this right. That means that we need your support for from 8 to 12 hours during the operating period. This month's meeting will be the last opportunity to ensure that we will have enough support to do what we have planned. Jerry N4RYC ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ELECTRONIC EDITION: Not much to add. Those of you that are reading this E-mail will receive in snail-mail your roster. I think Jerry is also attaching a copy of the map on how to get to our Field Day site. Pretty easy, though. Just get to Enterprise, go around the circle until you get to Highway 167 North. Turn north and about a mile later you'll see a "helicopter-on-a-stick". Turn left there. You won't be able to miss us at the top of the hill. (If you're coming down Highway 167 from the north, turn right at the helicopter.) Try to make the meeting this month if you can. We will be finalizing all the plans for Field Day and we'd sure like your input. Remember, Field Day is not just for the Enterprise club members. Invite all local area hams to join us. And, bring the family. C U on the radio.
