Come by Dottie's Country Kitchen on North Main Street in Enterprise around 7AM. We generally have a group of local HAMS that meet there for breakfast. We have a good time and food. Come join in on a friendly hour or so. Is that too early? How about Ann's in Ozark at 8AM. There is always a good sized crowd there also. Jerry N4RYC ------------------------------------------------------------------ Electronic Edition: PACKET RACKET / APRS As you probably know, the RF port on the packet BBS is still down. We may soon have an RF port open on a new BBS located at the Dale County EMA. The situation at ESJC is still unknown as of this writing. I'll keep you posted as the situation progresses. We are still in need of radios for the APRS sites. If you have a 2 meter radio that you are not using, we might be able to use it for one of the stations. Contact Jerry, N4RYC, or me, N4JAG. FOR SALE 15,000 BTU 120 volt window AC for $100. Looks rough but works fine. Call Jerry, N4RYC, at 347-4650. Don't forget to put Saturday, 24 June on your calendar. (Well, actually, the day is already ON your calendar. Unless you have a really strange calendar with days missing!) Anyway, just put a big star or something on that date. That is the beginning of Field Day, and we are still planning the cookout at WA4WQW's QTH. No-one has said anything about it, but I would guess that we'll need a rough idea of how many persons will attend so we're certain to buy enough food. So - tell someone you're gonna be there! This is for all local area Hams, not just EARS members, so spread the word. I think that's about it. If you want your message in our newsletter, send an e-mail to N4RYC. Or call him on the phone, or talk to him in person, or....you get the idea. CU on the radio. 73 N4JAG Rick You're just jealous because the voices are talking to me!
