JOTA (Jamboree-on-the Air) On October 17-18 the local Boy Scout Council will be joining in the annual Jamboree-on-the Air. This is an event in which Scouts throughout the world use Amateur Radio to make contact with each other during their fall outing. This year the Club will support the local Scouts at Camp ALAFLO North of Enterprise on the 18th of October. Mike N4WIG is in charge and has done a good job of setting up this event. I am sure that he would appreciate your help. Let Mike know when you can help. He will brief us at the meeting. BREAKFAST Don't know what to do on Saturday morning? Come by Dottie's Country Kitchen on North Main Street in Enterprise around 7AM. We generally have a group of local HAMS that meet there for breakfast. We have a good time and food. Come join in on a friendly hour or so. If that is too early, how about Ann's in Ozark around 8AM? A large group of HAMS meet there also. Jerry N4RYC ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Electronic Edition: Correction: N4WIG will be at Camp ALAFLO Saturday *and* Sunday for the Boy Scout JOTA. He plans on having his mobile home parked there and be operating both days. Stop by and visit. Special thanks to KD4FNI (Glenn) and Darlene who did a great job with the picnic last month. Those of you who missed it, really missed a good time and some great food. Thanks also to WA4YQT who did a lot of the cooking, and all the others who brought food or helped in any other way. I really think a good time was had by all. The donations more than made up for what the club spent. At the meeting this month we'll be voting on the new officers. We need a quorum, so please try to attend. The slate is: President, N4WIG; VP, KF4JTF; Sec-Treas, N4JAG; PIO, KD4IDG. N4RYC will continue to be the editor of the newsletter. We will also be deciding on a possible location for the Christmas dinner, or at least be assigning a Project Officer. If you'd like to get your two cents in, you've got to be there. C U on the Radio.
